Jumma Announcement

Assalamoalaikum

Our masjid has been holding Juma prayers at a limited capacity for the past several weeks. We have been watching the rapid spread of the Covid 19 in the State of Florida in the past 2 weeks  with increasing sickness to the point where ICU beds are filled to maximum capacity in many hospitals.

The Board of Directors have held many discussions with medical professionals and Mufti Sultan. After considerable debate we have concluded that we will not hold Juma congregational prayer this Friday, July 10th,2020. This was a difficult decision for us to make. However, the safety and health of our congregation and community is of foremost importance.

Covid 19 poses a real and rising threat. Reducing large gatherings is a must in our attempt to control the viral spread. We encourage the community to understand the seriousness of this pandemic and follow all measures prescribed by the CDC. We will monitor the situation and keep you updated.

Mufti Sultan will continue to give a virtual speech on Friday afternoon.

Jazakallah Khair

Sadaqah Jariyah

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).”
