Mission Statement

The Weekend School Program is committed to the mission of providing excellence in Islamic education according to the Qur’an and Sunnah in a pleasant and receptive manner while nurturing Muslim Character.  Guidance to the true and pure Islamic way of life is one of the most important gifts that we can give to our children.  With the help of Allah (SWT), right training and Islamic education would go a long way in making our descendants and us successful in this world and in the Hereafter.

The Weekend School is committed to fostering an Islamic learning-centered community that celebrates diversity and inclusion by empowering and engaging students, faculty and staff.

Vision Statement

  • To safeguard the religion and cultural identity of our children as manifested in their Islamic beliefs and principles.
  • To strengthen the concept of Oneness of Allah (Tawheed)
  • To enhance the knowledge of Quran, and to comprehend the tradition and teachings (Sunnah), and history of the message (Sirah) of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
  • To correctly perform and understand the supplications mandated by Islam.
  • Our approach to “Islamic” studies offers children a way to relate Islam to the world around them and assimilate this into their daily lives.

  • Overview of IFSF Weekend School
    Our Weekend School is pleased to offer teachings of Islamic Studies and
    Seerah, by our experienced and dedicated Weekend School Volunteer Teachers.
  • Our Weekend School is pleased to offer quality teaching of Quran recitation with
    emphasis on Arabic Tafsir, by certified Quran Teachers.
  • Grades included are KG through Grade 8.
  • Classes occur weekly on Friday Nights, 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm (except when BCPS
    school is closed on Friday)
  • 2021 – 2022 School Year will be: September 17, 2021 through May 29, 2022
    o Month of Ramadan, classes will shift to Saturdays, starting 90 minutes
    before Maghrib time.
    o Graduation Tentative Sunday, May 29, 2022.
    o Open enrollment all grades throughout the school year (pre-registration
    available through Principal).
  • Early registration discount for monthly tuition if students enrolled by September
    17, 2021: Tuition Fees for year of 2021-2022 will be $30 per month. If enrolled
    after September 17, 2021, then monthly tuition will be $45 per month.
  • No registration fees, no graduation fees.
  • At time of enrollment, purchase required Books in person or on-line.
  • Students will be placed in classes according to age as of September 1, 2021
    and current grade level.
    Disclaimer: If any illness*, fever*, or injury is incurred/noticed while on campus,
    parents will be notified immediately to come pick up their student. *If any tests come
    back positive for COVID-19, then school body, Board, parents, teachers will be
